I was in charge of reading the blue prints running the crews that installed the systems did

the trouble shooting and programing of new fire alarm systems. I did trouble shooting

repairs and programing of existing systems that were both newer and older fire alarm

systems. That included working with other trades on the proper placement and spacing of

fire alarm equipment to stay in compliance with ADA and the National Fire Alarm Codes.

I also did the final fire alarm inspections with the City, State and Corps. of Engineers fire

marshals. I was responsible for the Certification of my completed jobs. Certifying that

they had been installed according to the manufactures requirements and also those of the

NFPA-72 code requirements. The inspections that I preformed included testing of hood,

pre action systems, HVAC shutdown and the proper setup, programing and testing of the

elevator recall systems. Through my many years of installation and service work I have

done testing and inspections on fire alarms and other low voltage systems through out

southern Arizona that include installation and trouble shooting on CCTV, public address,

intercom, nurse call, access control, burglar alarm LAN and telecommunication systems.
