Sr. Manager, Product Initiatives

Tyco division is Touch technology market leader. Touch enabled

computers and handhelds are consumer favorite. Trained on six sigma

methodology to represent voice of customer.

. Elo's expiring touch patents significantly increased competitive

pressure from low-cost manufacturers. Strategized and

implemented a two prong approach to promote innovation. Internal

deployment of technology, people and processes to identify and

better manage winning products resulted in a capacitive touch

product line that closed a growing product gap with an

archrival. External scouting resulted in acquisition of patented

sound based touch technology platform to deliver next generation

touch products.

. Lack of project prioritization and too many concurrent projects

led to delays in business critical delivery. Using six-sigma

portfolio analysis reduced 50 plus projects to fewer than 20

actionable concurrent projects, and managed them thorough

successful completion. Leveraged my team of project and product

managers to successfully deliver 50 plus product related

projects over three quarters. Institutionalized product life

cycle process and improved cross-functional communication to

save $200K/project.

Positions held with Fourth Technologies - Sr. Consultant, Sr.

Fourth Technologies struggled for 8 years to break free of being a 30

some people firm executing small projects. Provided a new strategic

path with an unwavering focus on execution. Led the west coast

operation to take on turnkey application development and integration

projects for clients like Bank of America, Intel, Genentech etc.

Knowledge of client's business and challenges led to build two

enterprise content applications and integration products from ground
