Achievements:

. Automation of COMP_GRD application: Have created a menu based shell

script for COMP_GRD application for troubleshooting of orphaned

processes. This has eliminated 100% manual intervention on this

application. Also, this has been then replicated to all other servers

in environment.

. Automation of daily server monitoring: Have created a daily checklist

script daily monitoring and deriving metrics. This script has reduced

2-3 hours long process to 15 mins. This has also been implemented in

all servers in environment and obtained appreciation.

. Performance tuning: Have performed performance tuning for various

customers including upgrading of memory leak patch and addition of

swap space. In addition, have also analyzed and tuned various kernel

parameters like shmmax, shmseg, swchunck, maxvgs and nproc kernel

tunables. Have also proactively cascaded the same tuning on to various

other applicable servers in the network. This has reduced the servers'

downtime considerably ensuring increased availability to customers.

. Have recommended using EMS monitoring tool and have implemented the

same in most of the customers which triggers the event automatically

to our mailbox.

. Conducted L1 and L2 HP-UX training for employees within Wipro and HP

and achieved 85% participants' satisfaction on the feedback survey and

HP certification respectively.

. As a team we had won the Tech Quiz conducted throughout Wipro MIT/ES

Mysore.
