CAREER EXPERIENCE

THE NEWS GROUP - 1989 to date

1989-1992 - Part Time Merchandiser. Serviced top key accounts, developed

an impeccable working relationship with receivers and department managers

as well as store managers.

1992-1994 - Merchandiser Trainer. I was instrumental in implementing a

Video Merchandiser Training Program and trained all merchandisers.

1994-1999 - Promoted to KAM (Key Account Manager), while I managed a large

territory, duties included, but not limited to, continuous training of

merchandisers as well as Merchandiser Supervisors, with quarterly training

meetings. In addition, developed a "Merchandiser Newsletter" communicating

all promotions, sales incentives, and updated planograms.

1999-2003 - Due to my exemplary work ethics I was promoted to Merchandising

Department Manager. Responsibilities include all aspects of running a

department. I managed seven Merchandiser Supervisors. Developed an

updated method of payroll. Provided motivation, guidance, as well as

educating Supervisors to the level of excellence expected by my customers.

In addition, at the request of Upper Management, I was influential in

forming a new planogram, one that is still in practice today.

2003-2008- Field Specialist. An exciting and challenging position with new

duties that include all new store sets and resets. Responsible for

ordering all fixtures, while maintain a budget. Communicated effectively

with Account Managers and field personnel with regards to sales

initiatives. Maintained inventory for all necessary field supplies. .

Participated in special projects where needed for store sets, resets,

planogram installation, training in all chains including the Atlanta

airport.

2008-2010- Compliance Administrator - worked primarily in the field

guaranteeing all aspects of service criteria. Reporting back to the

service staff and marketing managers to establish superior training and

communication to advance customer relations. (And still maintained job

duties of the Field Specialist).

2010 - to present - Account Manager - Responsible for The Home Depot

publications sales while working closely with the customer/buyer. (1742

stores) and $25 million per year. Managed sales, promo's, resets,

planograms, racking, new store sets, resets, checkout programs, field

communications, merchandiser contests, field support while working closely

with the inside support of the TNG offices. Restructured all book

planograms to simplify the program and analyzed titles that were to be cut

and/or expanded across the country. Eliminated book -sku inventory by

request of the buyer and removed almost half of the number of sku's carried-

nationwide. Streamlined the book ordering process and the THD bookmaster.

Increased magazine sales by 30% with the updated 10- pocket checkout re

-logo project. Worked closely with the specialty book buyer to ensure the

best title selection and strategy for optimum sales. Consistently worked

with the customer/buyer to keep the THD vision on the correct path and to

meet the THD standard. Re-wrote procedures for the field to maintain the

THD standard to increase sales and help make the field service time short,

to the point and concise. Kept communication open with all field employees

to stay on top of all program threats as well as opportunities.
