ROSS Grant Family Self- Sufficiency & Homeownership - Position involves assisting low income

housing residents obtain better education and jobs with end goal of increased self- sufficiency. Involved

needs assessment/abilities,goal setting with participant and resource coordination assistance with

service providers/partners to participating residents in the Program. Organized, coordinated and

implemented Program including print material, seminars, events, training, reporting, and casework. A

“whole picture” approach is necessary in this position, as GC must deal with the day-to day struggles

of a low income family and all the issues that can arise. It is a compassionate “relationship” position;

acting as a mentor/motivator for the resident participant. Aided in creating of Heart of Putnam

Coalition. Outcomes achieved particularly in job training and life skills training.
