October 2009-February 2010: Interim National Kids Editor
Filled in as manager of all 12 kids editions and chief writer/editor
of the Kids Everywhere edition while the editor was on maternity
leave. Assigned stories, wrote content, managed and edited the work of
11 freelancers.
April 2010-present Blog Manager & Author, Kimpton Hotels &
Restaurants
Developed and launched the company's first blog, the topics of which
include lifestyle, food, entertaining, design, and travel. Created
editorial calendar, and now write posts, source photos, manage
freelancers, and develop content for Kimpton experts in the fields of
wine, mixology, design, and corporate identity.
Also at work authoring Kimpton's first lifestyle book, Style Flavor
Fun, to be published Holiday 2011. The subject is entertaining, and
each chapter is about creating a different kind of party at home.

Editor, Where Chicago Magazine
Was responsible for overall editorial direction of this monthly
visitor magazine, including long-term calendar planning,
conceptualizing covers and cover lines, and commissioning and
copyediting stories. Managed editorial staff, plus freelance writers.
Feature writer on the arts, entertainment, and travel beat.
Other positions held at Where Chicago included Senior Editor,
Associate Editor, and Editorial Assistant.
Editor, The Essential Chicago
Acted as editorial head for this newly-launched annual luxury retail
magazine produced by Where Chicago magazine. Wrote and commissioned
feature stories. Hired photographers. Responsible for editorial and
photography budget.
Editor, Chicago Official Visitors Guide
Served as editorial front person for this City of Chicago product that
was produced on a contract basis by Where magazine. Was the liaison
between the Chicago Convention & Tourism Bureau and Where magazine.
Wrote feature columns, edited copy, and selected photographs to create
a complete editorial package.
