Project: SkyPilot Element Management System (SEMS)
SkyPilot's wireless network provides Internet access to residences and
businesses through 802.11b wireless protocol. The wireless network is
powered by a proprietary mesh network technology created by SkyPilot. It is
a component based EJB/J2EE EMS application that provides topology and FCAPS
(Fault, Configuration, Accounting, Performance, and Security)
functionality. It is a highly scalable and fault tolerant application and
works with any JDBC compliant database. It is standards based and supports
several Northbound and Southbound interfaces such as SNMP, XML, etc.
Project involves developing the solution by customizing DNMS components for
a fixed wireless broadband Internet operator. Application provides all the
necessary functionality required to manage network devices including
hierarchy of the devices and real-time updates about the network topology.
Role: Developer in Configuration and Security Modules using Smart Client
software(Includes testing and documentation).

Project: Dhyan Network Management System (Product)
Dhyan Network Management System (DNMS) is an EMS application that provides
FCAPS (Fault, Configuration, Accounting, Performance and Security)
functionality.
Project involves developing swing-based solution for Fault, Performance,
and Security modules in FCAPS. DNMS provides all the necessary
functionalities required to manage the proper working and performance of
network devices. Fault module includes alarms, recent alarms, alarm
summary, event logs, filters, publishers, parsers, etc. Alarms and event
logs can be viewed with color coding based on its severity along with
paging support. Further alarms can be acknowledged, cleared, printed, etc.
Alarms and event logs can be viewed based on a filter selected. Recent
alarms window at the bottom of the page always displays the most recent
five alarms with color coding. Alarm summary window shows the number of
alarms based on severity.
Filters can be created for alarms and event logs in the filter management
section. A filter consists of several conditions corresponding to alarms or
event logs. This helps the user to view the alarms or event logs based on
his/her own wish.
Publishers can be created for notifying the administrator whenever a new
alarm is created or some activity is performed on an alarm. Notification is
done through e-mail or snmp traps by associating certain filters with the
publishers created. Trap parsers can be created for converting the received
traps into event logs and alarms.
DNMS serves as the framework for above said project.
Role: Developer in Fault Module in developing UI part using Swings
(Includes testing and documentation).
