Environmental Scientist
• Conducted a Tree Canopy Mapping project using ArcGIS 10 for Broward County, FL
• Created wetland boundary and wildlife maps for specific project locations incorporating satellite
aerials using ArcGIS 10
• Assisted with wetland delineations and wildlife surveys associated with FL Department of
Transportation Roadway Projects
• Conducted water quality monitoring in the Hillsborough River for a City of Tampa project
• Assisted in the composition of numerous final environmental reports for a variety of clients
• Researched data on wildlife crossings and signage throughout Florida for inclusion in FL
Department of Transportation Statewide Wildlife Crossing and Signage Inventory Report
• Performed mitigation monitoring activities at multiple locations for the School District of
Hillsborough County and various county and local agencies
• Assisted in identifying and documenting desirable and invasive plant species
• Worked on the Panther-Prey Survey project conducted on the 36,000-acre Brighton Seminole
Indian Reservation which included the following responsibilities:

Collected/analyzed prey abundance data through track and spotlight surveys
• Assisted with documenting and inspecting as-built surveys and final plant installations at two
mitigation areas associated with a large commercial development

• Assisted with the proposed High Speed Rail project from Tampa to Orlando which included
wetland delineations, Land Use Code verifications, wildlife surveys, small mammal presence and

NOTEWORTHY PROJECTS
Palm Beach County Department of Airports - SWPPP Inspections, Palm Beach County,
Florida
Served as the GIS Technician responsible for compiling Storm Water Pollution Prevention
Plan data distributing results to over 70 tenants located on Palm Beach County
Department of Airport’s property.
Wolf Branch Habitat Restoration Project, Hillsborough County, Florida
As Environmental Tech for this habitat restoration project, assisted with delineating the
project layout which consisted of using GPS Trimble to complete boundary mappings and
use of laser level and rod instruments to conduct the survey. Performed mitigation
monitoring to ensure the success and establishment of desired vegetation.
Newman Branch Habitat Restoration Project, Hillsborough County, Florida
Served in capacity of Environmental Scientist for this 12-acre habitat restoration project
and aided team with delineating the project layout which consisted of the following duties:
• Mapped Wetland Boundary using GPS Trimble
• Collected/compiled survey data using laser level and rod instruments
• Cleared the site through removal of invasive and exotic vegetation
• Participated in the planting of approximately 6,000 native plants in the re-created
wetlands and freshwater marshes
• Designed signage for project entrance and educational postings
This habitat restoration project was the first joint SWFWMD-private landowner habitat
restoration project.
Volunteer Work
National Aviary -Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania
• Compiled data from Pennsylvania Game Commission annual reports on banded Peregrine
Falcons and recoveries of banded birds.
• Measured distances between banding and recovery site throughout the eastern USA
• Organized and analyzed data from 20+ years of peregrine falcon banding and recovery from the
state of Pennsylvania
• Co-authored a report that has been accepted for publication with the Journal of Raptor Research
