The STEPS program is a day treatment program for sexually abusive children

and adolescents. Clients receive individual, group and family therapy to

address their sexually abusive behavior, trauma history, and other mental

health needs.

. Conduct assessments, develop and implement culturally competent

treatment plans, crisis intervention and case management for clients

and their family.

. Collaborate with the foster care system to coordinate STEPS program

services for foster care youth.

. Utilize a number of treatment modalities including individual, group

and family therapy.

. Provide clinical services to a culturally diverse range of client

populations as well as low-income families and military families.

. Employ the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Health

Disorders IV-TR in order to accurately diagnose clients.

. Apply best practice and clinical expertise in the field of sexually

abusive children and adolescents to develop, create, and improve a

trauma informed program.

. Prepare concise and accurate assessments and reports for Juvenile

Court and Medi-Cal in compliance with county and state requirements.

consultants, school and group home personnel, CPS, psychiatrists,
