System Analyst Senior June 2010 - present
- Project manager for eRrescribe Rollout. This includes managing a
team of 5 members including nursing informatics, pharmacists,
Cerner technical and Cerner application analysts. Also tasked with
developing rollout strategy, milestones, data design, data
gathering and weekly presentations to management. I also am the
lead security analyst on the project and responsible for
implementing the new ePrescribe functionality within the Message
Center.
- Lead security analyst for implementation of Anesthesia application
and 2007.17.19 upgrade. Involved creating new positions,
application groups and setting correct preference, privilege and
tasks.
- Lead analyst for conversion to Enhanced Medication Reconciliation.
Along with setting security abilities, I was also involved in
writing new EKM rules which called new CCL programs I wrote. I was
heavily concerned with creating a support matrix for go live and
ensuring issues were routed to the correct resources.
- Played key role in Medipac registration conversion including
working with client to ensure correct aliasing of all unit, room
and bed locations. I was also responsible for reviewing all CCL
programs to determine if changes were necessary.
- Lead security analyst with responsibilities of providing scope,
testing and training documentation for enhanced multum.
- Work closely with orders team to provide and document build of
power plans.
System Analyst Intermediate January 2007 - June 2010
- Project manager on designing, building, and transitioning of BMDI
data to new Cerner BMDI architecture, which also included creating
troubleshooting CCL queries along with displaying data model
reports for ease of understanding.
- Lead analyst on conversion to Cerner iBus
- Develop BMDI interface to allow patient data to flow from bedside
devices into Cerner software suite.
- Approved as Cerner certified ATIM instructor. This allows me to
teach the Architecture, Troubleshooting and Issue Management class
and have students receive Cerner credit.
Programmer/Analyst November 2005 - January 2007
- Set up open engine HL7 interfaces in Cerner software suite from
ancillary systems such as GE, Sunquest, Medipac and Copath. These
include bidirectional interfaces sending ADT, orders/results and
charges.
- Liaison between clinicians and CCl team, providing specification
documents to analyst for report request.
- Development of custom CCL reports and providing the end users with
a way to access them, whether via ops job, explorer menu or other
Cerner applications.
- Maintain, test, debug and document programs using SQL/CCL in a Unix
environment including custom rule build.
- Troubleshoot incoming HL7 transactions on the esi_log table and
resolve issues by working with ancillary interfaces.
