- Managing $7 million annual spend using ABC inventory planning
methodology. Upon hire, quick 'C' part (80% of total SKUs) inventory
stocking program implementation key to being able to hit revenue
expectations in a predicted purchase part 'allocation' environment (up
market, expanding lead-times/pricings). Prediction of allocation was met
with reality, revenue streams have not been impacted to date.
- Took reigns of already existing bonded inventory program, managed diverse
range of suppliers to expectations, validated and expanded existing
bonding program to suit ABC inventory planning methodology.
- Data 'scrubbed' (cleaned) Syspro business operating system planning
parameters, teamed with IT/IS to mass update system with legitimate lead-
times, pricings, and needed ABC inventory planning parameters.
- Linked Syspro data 'market feeds' with OnTime and Altium BOM engineering
change management system to alert engineering team to parts that are End
Of Life (EOL), Allocation, Life Time Buy (LTB), or generally At Risk due
to ongoing market volatility.
- Managed and troubleshot Engineering projects from a supply chain
perspective to alert teammates of possible issues with lead-times, 'at
risk suppliers', competitive disadvantages in price point, sole sourced
suppliers for 'A' and 'B' inventory spend purchased parts.
Senior Buyer * Crane Aerospace and Electronics (Eldec) * Dec. 2005 to May

Hired as Buyer II in 2005, June 2008 promoted to Senior Buyer
- 95% of 'A' and 'B' inventory value annual spend (~$2.5 million) on long-
term blanket p.o. contracts. Jump-off-point at time of hire only ~30%
of annual spend resided on blankets.
- Negotiated reduced lead-times (goal of 20 days or less) to support kanban
'pull' vs. MRP/ERP 'push' inventory replenishment method efforts.
- Tracked supplier on-time-delivery and AEGIS quality metrics, prescribed
and managed to completion root cause - corrective actions.
- Project managed short-term and long-term 2nd source specification efforts
for sole-sourced, 'A' and 'B' inventory value commodities. Successfully
created competitive bids on items that previously lacked a competitive
bid scenario.
- Participated, led and facilitated Crane transactional process improvement
six sigma black belt Kaizens.
- DFAR, ITAR, and BIS certificate of working knowledge completions.
Commodity Manager *Advanced Digital Information Corporation (now: Quantum

- Commanded 'Mass Bid' Request for Quote (RFQ) second-source effort of
financially troubled sole-sourced supply base of fabricated metal parts.
Realized annual spend savings PPV estimated at $1.6 million from previous
annual spend of $4.2 million.
- Reduced inventory on-hand value of $1.3 million to $850k in 1st year,
during a world-wide market caustic price increase in metals markets.
- Reduced line-down part shortages from average of 40 to average of 1 per
week, using root cause/corrective action methods paired with Oracle
planning strategies.
- Project managed RoHS (Restriction of Hazardous Substances) engineering
change cost estimates and timeframes for adherence to new regulations in
sheet metal commodity.

- Analyzed, planned and procured component inventory in networks division
for printed circuit board (PCB) production. Starting March '01 value:

performed 3 complete product line retirements.
- Teamed with senior buyers to lower component purchase price, lead times,
package sizes, and minimum order quantities, as well as extending payment
terms from Net 30 to Net 60.
- Trained to proficiency in multiple bin kanban and minstock inventory
systems. Helped develop training, standard work process documentation,
and auditing. Used audit data as a guide to improve quality and delivery
times while reducing costs.
- Led/participated in kaizen events, process improvements realized in such
areas as departmental productivity, VMI, RMA's, all phases of finished
goods and components.
- Key team member in new product rollout. Researched, planned and procured
