Graduate Research Assistant (May 2009 - present)
University of Hartford, CT, Research Project "Evaluation of Economic
benefits of photovoltaic distributive system".
My responsibilities included the following:
. Assisting in Economic and Engineering models that can be used to predict
and evaluate the Economic benefits of distributive system of Photovoltaic
technology.
. Modeling photovoltaic system using PSCAD (Power system computed Aided
Design) software and testing it with real time recorded data.
. FORTRAN computer's programming to track the maximum power point and to
utilize the lower efficiency of PV modules.
. Designed an effective approach to automatically generate failures on
photovoltaic system in PSCAD and run test cases for loss of power.
. Interfacing Monte Carlos Program in MATLAB to PSCAD to perform failure
analysis on inverter's components.
. Running simulations with different MTBF and MTR values of the inverter's
components and performing extensive analysis of output data by using
Excel.
