Multax Systems contracted to Vought Aircraft Ind.

. Inspect all stages of Fabrication and assembly tooling during make or

rework, and all forms of periodic inspection cycles (major, minor,

visual) on and off site. Read and all procedures, tool design, and

engineered drawings and relate them to precision measurements and many

closely coordinated locating points, dimensions and/or tooling holes

in several planes. Work closely with production, tooling, engineering

tool design and other departments to obtain and coordinate

information. Create pre-plan tooling inspection records and maintain

electronic inspection files. Perform inspection, progressive checks,

on all shipping fixtures, jigs, tool masters, fixtures, machine tools

and production tools. Check and set up tooling on surface plate or

table, angle plate, sine plate, rotary table to determine precision

measurements and check dimensions.

. Understand and interpret Blueprints, Engineered, and Tool Design

. Final product inspection and Quality Assurance; perform inspection,

progressive checks, on all jigs, fixtures, machines, tools, check

parts and set up tooling on surface plate or table, angle plate, sine

plate, rotary table to determine precision measurements and check

dimensions.

. Machining, welding, and fabrication, grinding, scraping, equipment

maintenance, assembly/disassembly of machinery, train lower level

mechanics, and ensure a clean and safe work environment.

. Ability to layout, locate, fit, trim, assemble, and install parts

where dimensions are critical and fitting is to exact tolerances.

. Mechanical knowledge of micrometers, calipers, go and no-go gauges,

pneumatic, and power tools to assemble, disassemble, drill, ream,

rivet, file, trim, form, bend and countersink holes common to skins,

parts, details, frames and structural members with the aid of jigs and

templates during production.

. Experienced with a variety of precision measuring tools to assure

conformance to specifications.

. Experience on mill, lathe, surface grinder, and precision inspections

to exact tolerances.

. Welding experience and metal fabrication.
