March 2009-Current
As a solar installer in Tucson I have become proficient in residential and
commercial installations. I am adept at installing roof and ground mount
photovoltaic arrays, bending conduit, wire pulls, AC and DC wiring,
inverter installation and AC meter and disconnect installations. Over the
two years of working for TFS I have taken on a lead role, and been put in
charge of system data monitoring and networking. My experience with TFS has
allowed me to become NABCEP certified. This small employee owned company
installed 40% of photovoltaic systems in the Tucson Area in 2010.
Independent Subcontractor, Sunnyside Properties
August 2006- June 2008
As a carpenter I have been working with a crew of four to build LEED
certified homes. I own liability insurance and I am solely responsible for
my quality and efficiency. I manage my finances using QuickBooks and
conduct other administrative tasks including writing quotes and maintaining
customer relations. I use my personal power and hand tools daily, and have
become proficient with several types of staging, and pneumatic tools. Two
years in the carpentry trade have given me the knowledge to run my own
projects on weekends.
Blasting Apprentice, Coastal Drilling and Blasting
Summers 1999-2005
In this position I worked as a general laborer for residential and
commercial blasting jobs, and assisted with office work. Over the six
summers I worked with the company I received increased responsibility
including equipment maintenance, job preparation, inventory control, price
estimations and seismic data recording. I became familiar with state and
federal business and safety regulations, including OSHA. I eventually
supervised and operated small blasting projects.
