• Volunteer Experience
I helped at the local animal shelter to gain some work experience over the summer
i n 2010. I started in June, and ended my time at the Valley Oak S.P.C.A. Mall
A doption Center when I started my full-t ime job and was going to school full-time as
well. I had a two-hour shift twice a week, where I would greet customers and
answer their questions, walked the dogs around outside every hour, fed the animal
i n their kennel cages, and cleaned the dog cages as well. I also cleaned up after the
cats, but they lived in a walk-in cage-like area that looked a li t tle more “homey”
s ince there were about 10-20 cats and/or ki t tens sleeping in there.
