January 2008-April 2011 I worked at Georgetown university hospital as a
l aboratory technician assistant. I helped the m icrobiology, hematology, ur inalysis
and others branches in the lab. My duties responsibility was performing phlebotomy
specimen collection from inpatients and outpatients and specimen t ransport,
receiving and processing specimens, Receives specimens verifies proper patient
i dentification on specimen and the accompanying requisition. Reviews requisition to
be sure i t has been properly completed. Enters patient and specimen information
i nto computer and generates a unique accession number. I assigned each specimen
to each section and attending pathologist and delivers specimen to proper laboratory
a rea. I also receive stat calls from the operating rooms for intraoperative consults
and alerts house and support staff. I assisted house and support staff to correctly fill
out requests for special studies, also preparing send outs (reference lab), and setting
u p microbiology cultures, performing inst rument maintenance, and operating
analyzers under the direction of the Clinical Laboratory Scientist. My primary
l aboratory communication liaison between physicians, nursing units, physician
offices, patients, general public, laboratory sections, and telephone and in
person was to provide information regarding test reports, the status of tests in
p rocess and clarification of physician orders. L ast I t rain new employees and new
p rocedures.
March 2006-june 2007 part t ime at Alicia daycare responsibilities including,
(providing snacks, after school-home work, monitoring activities.)
January 2007 phlebotomist student and volunteer as a receptionist at a doctor office,
and got t rained to a take vital sign.
March 2007-september 2008 work as a phlebotomist at renaissance garden at
E r ickson retirement community, duties including draw blood, take vital sign
assisting a physicians and patient.
December 2010- March 2011 I volunteer as a unit secretary assisting nurses and
physician, ordering labs in the computer, g reeting patient and families ect...

September 2007 (fall) attending Montgomery College
J uly 2009 (summer) t ransfer to Anne Arnold community college and I am planning to
g raduate in June 2012 as a Medical Technologist.
