OBJECTIVE
To obtain a rewarding career in the heath care industry utilizing my
previous experience as an LPN and the social service skills I have gained
though my education at Pierce College.
SUMMARY
Currently seeking a rewarding career in geriatrics or hospice. I have
training in counseling services, knowledge of community resources, basic
understanding of family systems and human development, logical and critical
thinking skills, as well as 14 years experience working with the elderly in
a nursing home environment. I have an understanding of diverse cultures,
able to multi-task, solid verbal and written communication skills. I keep
a positive attitude, like to help others and work hard. I am also a fast
learner with leadership skills and potential. I feel confident I can do

WORK HISTORY
2008-2010 LPN-Charge Nurse, Orchard Park Health Care, Tacoma WA
Day Shift and Night Shift supervisor. Responsible for the delegation of
duties of certified nursing assistants and auxillary staff members. As the
Lpn Charge nurse, duties included wound management, IV Med adminstration
and monitoring, Diabetic management, Physician's Orders, Daily assessments
of patient, Medication adminstration, Communication with Staff, Physicans
and family members to effectively admister care to futher the well-being of
the patient. Worked closely with hospice to provide comfort for patient and
family members.
2007-2008 LPN-Charge Nurse, Peoples Retirement Community, Tacoma WA
Day Shift and Evening Shift supervisor. Responsible for the delegation of
duties of Personal Caregiver in an Assisted Living Environment. Responsible
for the ordering and re-ordering of medication and administering those

Duties also included wound-care and assessments of clients,direct
communications with Physicians, family-members and associates to provide
the resident with care that was consistent.
