A challenging opportunity in the development and commercialization of high performance
CAREER
polymeric material systems.
OBJECTIVE
WORK Triangle Polymer Technologies, Inc
Founder / Vice President of Technology – July 2006 - Present
EXPERIENCE
• Created a business specializing in the research, development and commercialization of
high performance composites and adhesives.
• Developed an epoxy resin system for the fabrication of large scale, ship structures via
the VATRM process. Currently in the commercialization stage awaiting congressional
budgetary approval to proceed for fleet insertion. This material has been designed and
approved for all topside deck structures utilizing carbon fiber reinforcements.
• Developed a product line of high performance, hybrid adhesives based on 2K cure, UV
cure and hot melt cure.
• Developed a product line of hybrid polymer, peel and stick tapes for military and
industrial applications.
• Developed an expertise in custom synthesis, development and scale up of polymer
materials for composites applications for prepreg, pultrusion and molding applications.
Henkel Technologies, Aerospace / TIM Metals Group
Business Development Manager - Adhesives, March 2005 – June 2006
• Developed a business plan to expand the adhesives offering to include high
performance film adhesives.
• Product technology responsibilities include lightening strike and epoxy foam
applications.
• Created a Business Plan for Adhesives Development and Introduction into the TIM
Metals customer base; technologies developed include laminating and structural
adhesives and metal packaging sealants.
• Supported Metal Coil, Cold Forming, Metal Packaging and Steel Groups for new
product introduction and technical support.
Sovereign Specialty Chemicals – SIA Adhesives, Akron, OH
Business Development Manager – Adhesives, 4/02 – 3/05
• Directed a technical and sales team and created a comprehensive structural adhesives
product line for transportation and industrial markets.
• Introduced hybrid epoxy technology into the marketplace for new applications.
• Direct sales responsibility for 2 global accounts with sales revenue of $3MM
• Responsibilities include sales development, market development and promotion.
Reichhold, Inc., RTP, NC
Business Manager – Structural Adhesives, 7/97 to 4/02
