My objective is to acquire a position with a stable employer and to
establish a long term employment relationship. I am seeking the
opportunity to make a career change yet still utilize my skills obtained
through 13+ years working as a Public Safety/911/Fire/EMS operator.

of crisis or traumatic events. Many of my duties required me to rely on

Job description:
While representing the City of Portage and the Portage Police Department,
I performed a service with professionalism and utmost concern for customer
care. I answered multiple phone lines, prioritizing each individual
request, maintaining respect for all citizens while still preserving the
safety of officer and property. I was held to a high level of
confidentiality with public requests as well as the access to highly
sensitive material and records. These basic job duties were performed while
dually entering the Calls for service into the Department computer in a
real time manner. I also was required to perform receptionist/switchboard
and clerical duties such as preparing records for public sale, basic
investigatory reports, individual officer and detective requests. I was
required to possess the ability to stay calm and focused in all situations,
knowing my available resources to assist with making routine as well as
difficult and proper decisions quickly.

assure that taxes were properly assessed for the public. Some field work
