This Project is Internal to CSC which involves monitoring and scheduling of
batch jobs in Production, Model office, development using CA7 and ZEKE.
Chrysler Corporation is the parent company for Chrysler Motor Company, Global
Command Center [Managed Command center and Data center at Hyderabad &
Dearborn] Large, centralized and out-sourced as well as in-house managed data
center offering OS/390 platform. CSC Managed Command Center is dedicated to
provide 24x7 production support and server operations for Chrysler Business
like North America, Europe, Mexico, etc., CSC's Production Control and
Operations team is a Single Point of Management offshore model to ensure
optimal and cost-effective delivery. As a Technical system analyst, support
regional data center batch systems and console operations.
Responsibilities :
Responsibilities for Cycle(Batch) Management:
Monitor the batch cycle jobs of various queues like REQ, RDY, ACT and JES2 &
JES3 console messages.
Responsible for providing production support (24X7) which involves production
abends and scheduling (Adhoc) as per client Documentation.
Perform the client requests like Demand, Cancel, force, requeue, change the
submit times for batch jobs by using scheduling packages CA7, ZEKE, TWS OPC.
Restart the failure jobs by using the CA11.
Monitoring and recovering batch jobs on zSeries using Tivoli OPC scheduling
product.
Add the negative dependency to job which are failed due to contention
problems.
Uncatalog the datasets from failure jobs per client request.
Set up the jobs to override library until further instructions by using DB
panel (DB.1).
Modify the schedules by using the SCHDMOD command (DB.2.7).
Create the GDG by using file manager.
Adding the USR requirements by using DB.3.6
Place the Jobs on Hard hold (either permanent or one-time) per customer
request.
Run the jobs under different LPARS.
Release the jobs from SDSF.
Perform the HOTBATCH for batch jobs.
Monitor the IMS regions by using Omegamon.
Resolve the level 1 abends like FTP, U4037 etc.
Resolve the SB37 problems.
Timely resolution / escalation of job failures (abends) that helps in timely
batch cycle completion.
Monitor batch workloads for exceptions.
Ensure timely availability of online regions.
Alert the programmers / on-call personnel for any abnormality in the systems
like jobs not running on time, online regions not being up on time or jobs

Monitor Net cool, notify the critical messages, and inform/issue tickets to
relevant section/department.

Monitoring CPU utilization, resource contention and tape mounting by using
omegamon.
Cancel the NETID for batch jobs in JES3 console.

USA. This is in-house project of Pittsburgh based Mellon Corporation. This
application serves the Investment management, trust and custody, foreign

stock transfer, proxy solicitation, treasury management and banking services
to institutional and individual investors. ACS is providing the staff in
mainframe legacy applications maintenance and supports their MVS applications
as a part of outsourcing. This system has two LPARs like ACSHRS1 & ACSHRS2.

the production abends and scheduling as per client documentation.
