• Worked for an independent software vendor that provides a platform for reporting SAP
(Enterprise Resource Planning) data in real-time.
• Initiated communication with customers to solicit business requirements. Turned those
requirements into buildable specifications, and reviewed the specifications with customers to
ensure flexible and adaptable solutions.
• Created advanced database Queries and Views using Structured Query Language (SQL) for
customers based on their SAP reporting needs. Worked with Human Resources data, General
Ledger and Material Master (includes Production Planning and Material Requirements Planning)
data from SAP.

• Assisted procurement team with negotiations. Researched contract structure and terms, gave
management information to enforce contract execution in support of Just-In-Time (JIT)
manufacturing goals.
• Interned in the Lean Manufacturing Operational Transformation department under the leader of
Lean OT. Used 5S principles to design and create a workstation to improve efficiency and
effectiveness on the shop floor. Implementation of the new workstation reduced wasted motion by
50%.
• Researched quality concerns and proposed solutions by conducting interviews of key players in
the supply chain. Identified risks associated with sole steel suppliers. Through research, data
analysis, and inspection eliminated steel as a cause of defects in the fastener-forming process.

suppliers.

• Worked on a four-student team to develop decision support metrics for placing a Distribution
Center (DC) for a large retailer. Researched and compared local workforce factors for the DC
placement.
• Researched government incentives (e.g. tax abatements, development funds, etc.) that the retailer
could obtain based on location of the DC.
