EXPERIENCE

AON BENFIELD FAC, INC., Suwanee, GA 2001-2010

Assistant Vice President / Assistant Secretary / Claims Mgr., Facultative Claims Dept.

Led several teams of 4 to 7 direct reports that helped turn AIG into Aon’s largest facultative

client by providing superior advocacy for claims and collections. Integrated the facultative

reinsurance systems of legacy brokers into Aon Benfield Re - the world’s largest full service

reinsurance intermediary.

• Teamed with clients to develop collection innovations resulting in average recoveries of

$50M per year for 10 year period.

• Targeted reinsurance cash flows were on average 120% of monthly projections over same

period.

• Exceeded monthly quality control benchmarks for notices, billings, closings, reserve

changes… by an average margin of 30%.

• Conducted internal claim audits resulting in processing, systems and procedure

improvements throughout the life cycle of claims. Created technical training manuals for

legacy reinsurance and accounting systems…..resulting in a perfect record of zero E&Os

• Unwound hundreds of legacy unapplied cash and out of pocket positions, reducing bad debt

Project Manager

Converted legacy reinsurance systems for Y2K compliance, including testing, mapping and data

scrubbing. Developed collection models, and overhauled letter of credit, commutation,

disengagement and ancillary broker functions.

• Developed two generations of claim tools allowing real time interactive communication with

clients and markets on the status of claims, outstanding queries and disbursements.

• Led 14 direct reports servicing Aon Re’s Treaty processing and collections following the

purchase of Alex Re in 1996. Coordinated and supervised the transfer, integration and

closing of legacy claims and accounts.
