Project Description:

This project involved maintenance and enhancement of Insurance portal

which was used by Agent managers and Agent executives of a leading US

based Insurance company. The application supported rate, quote and bind

of Inland & Ocean Marine coverages such as Builders Risk, Motor Truck

Cargo etc.

Client: Travelers Insurance

Role: Sr Business Analyst and Onshore Coordinator

Responsibilities:

o Met with all developers and project stakeholders to lead a kickoff

meeting of quarterly phases. Defined and introduced the project,

team members' roles, and key deliverables. Mapped out timelines,

milestones, communication processes, question and answer session.

o Gathering requirement from end clients (business team) by

conducting walkthroughs, surveys, questionnaires, interviews,

brainstorming, and JAD and JAR sessions.

o Organized requirements for customer statement, invoice and ticket

Responsibilities:

o Involved in Requirement Scoping and identifying high priority

requirement with client's business team

o Identification of end-to-end business scenarios and processes and

documenting the processes using BPMN. Functional requirement

analysis, elicitation and development of appropriate documentation

for technical team(DLD) and end users(user manual)

o Documenting technical requirements in DLD, creation of screen mock-

ups(using Visio and HTML),creation of sequence diagrams, activity

diagrams

implemented within the specifications of the contract

satisfaction by reduced gap time between quote and sale.

Role: System Analyst

Responsibilities:

o Involved in creating targeted questionnaires for SMEs to gather

requirements. Also documenting the Technical requirements in

Functional and System level documents.

o Analyzing and mapping data with accord xml's.

o Assisted the QA team in reviewing test cases, test plans and tested

the final application for usability testing to verify whether all

the user requirements were catered to by the application.
