. Designed and implemented cost accounting systems and internal management

reports in five companies identifying an aggregate of over $3 million in

cost savings and supporting the investment of over $2 million in capital

acquisition funds.

. Designed budget models and prepared over 10 budgets for manufacturing,

mining, distribution and service industry companies identifying potential

annual savings of more than $5 million. Budgets were prepared using

bottoms up and historical trend techniques in organizations which before

that time had no budget structure in place.

. Implemented the Internal Audit function for a $600 million conglomerate

comprised of over 55 companies each with its own independent accounting

function. Performed the section 404 Sarbanes Oxley analyses for each

company.

. Took over the accounting function for five companies with un-reconciled

financial records and no internal controls. Organized the accounting

records in time for the subsequent external/internal audit receiving high

. Served numerous clients ranging in size from 1.2 billion to 20 million

in revenues.

. Set up client ERP system and related accounting system for new startup

company and had accounting operations taking place within one month.

. Assisted client in preparing for a three year look back audit in

conjunction with an acquisition by a PEG. Helped in the conversion of

financial records from Quickbooks to Great Plains software.

. Prepared budget and cash flow projections and designed monthly reports

for management and the Board of Directors.

. Identified $150,000 of vendor billing errors preserving cash flow and

minimizing borrowing against bank financing lines.

. Assisted management with understanding monthly income variances by using

. Built excel models for a 1.2 Billion manufacturing company used to

identify the cause of Gross Margin compression of a 155 million product

line. Also built excel models for freight logistics between various

suppliers and manufacturing plants used to reduce freight costs by over

. Took over accounting operations for a client whose Controller suddenly

terminated his employment. Within two weeks the bank reporting system

and month-end close system were learned with very little training.

Reports were prepared and submitted earlier than with the previous

Controller had done.

. Recreated a Dec 31 roll back perpetual inventory listing from four months

of transactions without the aid of monthly system reports. Transactions

covered 45,000 line items of detail. Report accepted by KPMG for year-

end audit purposes.

. Reconciled numerous general ledger accounts too complex for in house

accounting staff providing management a clear understanding of statement

balance composition and control weaknesses.

. Organized monthly reporting systems to assist management in understanding

financial statement trends and variances from budget.

. Developed excel models of financial data to provide management job

costing information not previously available through system reports.

preparation and expense tracking on major projects.

. Internal Audit Manager - conducted internal audits of 55 branches

compare those costs to standard. As a result, actual net income compared

to budget was explained in terms of material and labor departures from

expected norms.

. Managed the cash flow process of the company which was insufficient to

meet normal operations. Worked closely with vendors and customers to

manage inflows and outflows to sustain operations.

. Developed effective communications with lenders by reconciling borrowing

base reports to financial statements maximizing available funds and being

straight forward with company needs.

waste industry used in management meetings and corporate budget

. Took over accounting departments for five divisions that had few controls
