Production Supervisor - Pressroom 2009 to September 2010

• Lead, train and direct a shift of 50+ employees separated into teams of 5 to 7

employees operating high-speed, high-volume, offset web and gravure presses.

• Accountable for safety, quality, efficiency and production including training and

development.

• Ensure effective two-way communications.

• Assign crews, balance skill-levels and team compatibility plus labor costing (CPU:

Cost/Unit).

• Continuously monitor materials-flow, set-ups, progress, quality and scheduling plus

maintenance.

• Provide direct customer interface on press color approvals and offer technical

assistance.

• Communicate, support and adhere to highly detailed Quality Standards as specified for

each customer and adjust to the variations in highly detailed color standards and requirements that each

• Administer Preventative Maintenance Programs plus troubleshoot and lead repairs.

Press Supervisor/ Production Operator - First Press Operator 1992 to 2008

• Provide leadership, training and development of a five-person crew on eight-unit, double-web, heat-

set, offset printing presses. Troubleshoot, repair & preventative maintenance of equipment.

• Principal assistant to the First Press Operator and team leader and trainer. Accountable for safety & quality

• Adjust tension, Check PH / Conductivity, Adjust the Delivery Stacker, Set Register and Mount Plates.
