Whirlpool Corp. - MNGR, Assembly Engineering and Projects

12/10 - present

Have overall leadership for providing engineering support of the Findlay

Division assembly operations, with six direct reports. Project Manager

responsible for executing a strategic business project to integrate

electronics that realized $2.6 million in annual, repeating savings for the

company. Created the vision and strategy for the assembly engineering group

that focused on maximizing value for the business by aligning resources

that encouraged problem solving, while improving our assembly metrics and

the execution of our critical projects.

Whirlpool Corp. - MNGR, Third Shift Operations 9/09 - 12/10

Responsible for the safety, quality, cost and delivery performance of a 650

employee shift w/ 8 direct reports. Led coaching and disciplinary

conversations to address performance related issues, as well as handled HR

concerns and disciplinary discussions. Established a daily check-in to

ensure that all shift leadership were focused on the most important goals

to meet the needs of the operation. Speaker, coach and mentor in the areas

of operational and organizational leadership. Provided leadership training

for Supervisors, Engineers and Managers. Provided support and leadership

for lean initiatives across the shift. Worked hand-in-hand to ensure that

material flow parts related issues were identified and addressed to

minimize the impact on the operation.

Whirlpool Corp. - MNGR, Environmental, Health & Safety 1/04 - 9/09

Led EH&S process of a 2,400 hundred employee facility. Developed a safety

team structure that supported operational needs and provided a mechanism

for significant improvement in the operations safety performance. Led a

staff of two engineers and five technicians. Led the creation of the

Findlay Division Safety Vision. Responsible for the growth and development

of direct reports and others. Managed the EH&S and Security budget.

Provided training for a 2,400 team member facility, with group sizes up to

200.

ACCOMPLISHMENTS

o Led the project team that integrated a strategic component into the

Findlay operations, saving the company $2.6 million annually.

o Third shift's safety, quality cost and delivery performance was the best

within the Division, with the highest percentage of temporary workers.

o Chosen to be a certified corporate speaker on matters of operational and

organizational leadership.

o Achieved a 73 % reduction (From 14% to 3.8%) in our OSHA Recordable Rate

prior to being promoted.

o Chosen as a leadership mentor for ten team members.

o Hazardous waste generator reduction status from LQG to SQG.

Hayes Lemmerz International - MNGR, Environmental, Health &

Safety 5/2000 - 1/04

Developed and implemented facility safety inspection process that fostered

teamwork, reduced risk and improved housekeeping. Conducted hazard risk

assessments of workstations. Management Representative for the development

and implementation of the ISO 14001 system. Conducted ISO 14001

environmental system audits for various Hayes Lemmerz facilities.

Supervised Wastewater treatment operator and Plant security personnel.

Managed all aspects of the facilities Title V air permit program. Provided

health, safety and environmental training for a 300 employee facility.

Managed facility workers compensation system. Performed root cause problem

solving of accidents and near-misses.

ACCOMPLISHMENTS

o Developed and implemented comprehensive plant specific environmental,

health and safety system.

o Developed ergonomic process and provided leadership in the implementation

of modifications, which minimized risk to the operators, reduced injury

rates and improved the efficiency of the operation.

o OSHA injury rate reduction of 82%.

Tenneco Automotive - Environmental, Health and Safety Coordinator

4/99 - 5/2000

Developed, implemented and maintained EH&S systems and audit process, as

well as, conducted safety training for 285 team member facility.

Responsible for the plant behavioral based safety process. Extensive use

of 8D problem solving methodology.

ACCOMPLISHMENTS

o Instituted coolant management system in automotive assembly plant, which

reduced operator risk associated with metl working fluids. Machine

downtime was reduced from three hours every week to three hours every two

moths and operations experienced a 40% reduction in coolant usage.

National Specialty Products - Mngr, Health, Safety & Environmental Affairs

8/97 - 4/99

Responsible for establishing and leading the strategic direction for the

all Health, Safety & Environmental activities on 40 acre unionized

manufacturing site. Primary contact for EPA and OSHA.

ACCOMPLISHMENTS

o Facility received award for most improved safety performance from the

County Safety Council in 1998.

o Developed waste neutralization/minimization process that reduced the

facility's generator status from LQG to SQG. Resulted in reduced

regulatory burden and a repeating savings of $3K/yr.
