Worked as a full time structural engineer under a S.E. (registered structural engineer) in

residential and commercial projects such as hospitals, airports, hotels, office buildings, parking

structures, condominiums, and custom homes. Responsibilities include design and analysis of

various structural elements for gravity, seismic and wind loads using both Load and Resistance

Factor Design (LRFD) and Allowable Stress Design (ASD) per 2007-CBC. Preparation of

structural calculation for beams, columns, concrete decks, shear walls, rigid frames, retaining

walls, raised and slab foundations, shoring (soldier piles including tiebacks & pipe rakers), and

misc. structural elements along with preparation of CAD structural drawings for foundation plan,

framing plan, deck reinforcement plans, roofing plan, structural sections and complete structural

details for steel, concrete and light weight wood (Type V) structures.

Power Contracting, Inc.: September 2001 to December 31, 2001

Worked as a general construction labor in construction of a fire engine garage in Alpine,

California for the U.S. Forest Service. Responsibilities include, demolition of existing frame

structure, working as helper to cement mason finishers and carpenters. Also was involved in the

painting of drywall ceilings and walls. Installed insulation (R-38 for roof and R-19 for walls)

using staplers. Installed simpson connectors for earthquake load transfer from roof diaphragm to

foundation holdowns. Nailed shear wall panels using air gun and also manual nailing (10d

common nails). Worked as helper to the roofers. Helped them install roof felt (#30) and carry

composition shingles to them along with clean up of debris.
