Fare box Technician
Was responsible for preventive maintenance, assembly and repairs of mobile bins, receivers, probes, cash boxes, bill
transports, coin mechanisms, trim units, coin escrows, bill stuffers, and other fare equipment. Was responsible for
installation and removal of fare equipment, also entering and retrieving computer data. Repaired printed circuit boards
to component level using schematics, soldering and test equipment. Used power tools as drill press, grinders, and
others to make equipment repairs. Worked with central dispatch, meeting buses on road calls for repairs,
communicated with handheld radio. Met with management, union, and employees to resolve problems within the
revenue collection operation. Was responsible for parts and supplies as needed in electronic shop for preventive
maintenance and repairs. Trained new technicians.

Maintained, repaired, assembled and performed preventive maintenance on 386 central computer system and
peripherals, cashier terminals, ticket issuing machines, cash drawers, automatic gates, intercom system, CCTV system,
backup power supplies, line drives and modems. Used test equipment as oscilloscope, multimeter, variac, logic probe,
soldering equipment and others. Repaired printed circuit boards to component level using schematics and test
equipment. Worked with other technicians, contractors, engineers, electricians, programmers, and management on
installations and upgrades of electronic equipment at Bay Area International Airports. Was responsible for monthly
invoicing of labor and parts on revenue collection system. Ordered parts and supplies, contacted vendors for delivery
and invoicing. Was responsible for mailing equipment out for repairs, under warranty. Occasionally trained technicians
and cashiers on repairs and revenue transactions. Was responsible for auditing computer generated reports, time
keeping, and schedule time off.
