MANAGEMENT

* Gave leadership to a staff of 7 professionals of the American Red

Cross of North Central Texas in varying levels of excellencies:

disaster services, health & safety, administration, military

support services and fund raising in the 16 counties of North

Central Texas.

* Helped the employees and volunteers remain committed and

accountable to the chapter through goal setting, delegating and

feedback.

* Continuously supported the Board and other volunteer leader

recruitment, analysis and development to ensure that chapter

leadership reflects the diversity of the local communities severed.

* Ensured fiduciary responsibility, sound financial management and

public accountability for contributions, income and all Red Cross

assets.

* Gave leadership to staff and volunteers at Southside Youth Senter,

through which we were able to increase membership in the After-

School and Summer Camp program by three fold, in a period of 2

years.

FINANCE

* Planned and managed budgets in excess of $500,000.

* Ensured that an annual plan was developed and carried out that

provided the financial resources necessary to conduct the

activities of the organization.

* Worked to train staff and volunteers and gave leadership to the

development of major fundraising events that netted over $50,000.

* Worked with department staff to develop marketing tools (brochures,

fliers, letters, ads) to reach companies and business with the

products, classes and information to help them be better prepared

for emergencies.

* Raised over $74,000 in grant money to support the operations and

programs of Southside Youth Senter and over $124,000 in grant money

to support the American Red Cross of North Central Texas.

Red Cross services based on locally assessed community and donor

* Successfully wrote and received grants totaling over $124,000.

* Worked with a strong Board of Directors, staff and volunteers to

reduce the budget and restructure the daily business operations.

* Identified and recruited top-level, high-profile community

volunteers in order to solicit funds and to further the mission of

the American Red Cross.

* Ensured the Board of Directors had representative talents in all

functional areas; successfully teamed with the Governance Committee

to develop board-level volunteers to achieve common goals.

Responsibilities include direct leadership of four District Executives

and one program aid, and one intern in Finance, Volunteer Development,

south central Kansas.

. Directed and coached the executives in achieving a 41%

membership growth.

. Planned and implemented a $100,000 self-support campaign an

increase of 71%.

. Expanded the Council revenues from $232,791 to $236,879 a 40%

increase.

. Trained and gave guidance to eight new professionals, two

interns, and one program aide.

. Provided leadership to chartered partners, units and volunteers.

. Gave leadership and direction to Scout Show, Philmont Family

Weekend, Council Jamboree and Popcorn sales.

. Served as camp director of a major Boy Scout summer camp for

four years, during which time camp had an increase in both income

and attendance.
