CORE STRENGTHS
Hydrologic, hydraulic and water quality modelling
Urban and industrial drainage
River engineering and floodplain analysis
Hydraulic design and analysis (ponds, water conveyance structures, outfalls, etc)
Preliminary designs of sanitary/water/storm infrastructure
Site Servicing and Erosion and Sediment Control
Water quality analysis and treatment design
Project coordination/Time Management
Extensive computer skills: GIS tools, AutoCAD, HECRAS, SWMM, OTTHYMO, SWMMHYMO, MS Office, etc.
PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
SCS Consulting Group Ltd., Canada Sept. 2010 ~ Jul. 2011
Water Resources Designer/Consultant
Completed the detailed design of one stormwater management facility, and a system of infiltration trenches in
support of the 23 ha residential/mixed use Draft Plan. This project included several unique design components
at inlet and outlet configurations to resolve the backwater issues.
Completed detailed design of the Erosion and Sediment Control plan including three erosion and sediment
control facilities, two road crossings, and associated outfall structures.
Assisted in preliminary designs of sanitary/water/storm infrastructure, and preliminary grading for a Functional
Servicing Report to support the Draft Plan Application for a subdivision totaling 200 homes.
Assisted in the detailed design of three stormwater management facilities for a golf course. To mitigate the
environmental impact in the sensitive area, the stormwater management design incorporated a zero” run -off
solution, with the water either being used for golf course irrigation or infiltrated to the ground.
Completed the detailed design of an underground stormwater storage coupled in-line with on-site stormwater
BMPs for two high-rise condominium buildings with an accompanying Stormwater Management Report.
Greenland International Consulting Ltd., Canada Feb. 2006 ~ Jan. 2009
Environmental/Water Resources Analyst
Completed hydraulic floodplain analysis for approximately 3.0 km of Silver Creek including completion of
hydrology modelling for the 1300 ha watershed to confirm Regulatory Storm flood limits.
Completed a Master Servicing Study in support of the Lefroy Belle-Ewart Secondary Planning Area along with
the preliminary hydrology modelling to confirm required storage volumes in proposed SWM facilities. Also
provided technical support for the project’s water supply/distribution and wastewater treatment/collection
components for the future 30,000+ population in this area.
Created a storm sewer model for use in the evaluation of the proposed conveyance design for City of Barrie,
identified the drainage system deficiencies, and provided the municipality with feasible, cost effective
watershed drainage solutions to resolve flooding issues.
2
Completed subwatershed water balance and water stress assessment for a 15,000 km drainage area.
Initiatives in this project included quantifying the impacts of vertical and lateral groundwater flows, accounting
for hydraulic control structures and municipal water takings into a model, and determining areas with potential
for water quantity stress.
Developed a Total Monthly Maximum Loads (TMML) model to examine and predict the impact of pollution from
committed urban development on the water quality of the watersheds, and the water quality management plan
to be used in implementing sustainable development.
AMEC Americas Limited, Canada Nov. 2005 ~ Feb. 2006
Co-op
Performed engineering calculations in support of civil engineering design projects, coordinated CAD drafting
requirements, assisted in gathering and correlating raw data for arrangement in a workable form.

JIANGSU Provincial Institute of Building Construction, China Jun. 2004 ~ Jun. 2005
Project Engineer
Provided technical inputs and coordinated the subconsultants for a design of water conservation and reuse
strategies in newly built subdivision in China. My responsibilities have included managing the municipal
wastewater treatability investigations, developing treatment scheme and cost-effective analysis, and
conducting preliminary design.
State Key Laboratory of Pollution Control and Resources Reuse Study, China Jul. 1998 ~ May 2001
Project Associate
Provided technical input and coordinated wastewater analysis and treatment design including managing
wastewater treatability experiments in a laboratory setting and industrial client settings, and assisti ng in
preliminary and detailed engineering design of industrial wastewater treatment unit processes.
Jiangsu Engineering Institute, China Aug. 1995 ~ May 1998
Engineer-In-Training
Assisted in preparation of bidding documents on government contracts; coordinated with onsite engineers and
technicians, and oversaw the site work (e.g. equipment installation and start -up); and conducted engineering
calculation for unit operation and process designs.
