Worked for two Major Aerospace Companies (Boeing and Raytheon) at various locations as a System

Engineer and contributed to the success of several programs: C-17, GPS IIF, WAAS, GAGAN, JPALS,

MSAS, and FTE. Very particular about meeting deadlines. Good communication skills (both verbal and

Professional Experience:

2004-2011 Raytheon, Fullerton, California

Sr. System Engineer II on Wide Area Augmentation System (WAAS), GPS Aided GEO

Augmented Navigation (GAGAN), Joint Precision Approach and Landing System (JPALS), and

Florida Turnpike (FTE) programs. Responsibilities included:

•Writing System Level Requirement documents (B and C level) derived from customer

requirements (A level) on several programs (WAAS, GAGAN, JPALS). Writing Interface

Control Document (ICD), Interface Requirements Document (IRS), Master Integration and Test

Plan (MITP), Updating Software Requirements Specification (SRS).

•Managing Requirements in Dynamic Object Oriented Requirements System (DOORS) as a

database administrator. This included importing/exporting module, tracing requirements to its

parent requirements and to test/verification module to ensure all requirements have been

captured and verified.

•Leading a team and streamlining a process to quickly import updated requirements in DOORS.

This required daily meeting with team members and management to ensure a quick turnaround to

meet the program needs.

•Writing and implementing Requirement Change Request (RCR) in DOORS. This required

coordinating changes with affected discipline, writing proposed RCRs, getting approval by the

Change Control Board (CCB), and implementing the RCRs in DOORS.

•Writing several Program Notebook (PNB) such as Managing Requirements using DOORS,

Change Management Process in DOORS, Software Traceability Requirements, VRTM,

Verification Requirement Document, Interface Requirements Document (IRS), etc.

•Book Boss for Hazardously Misleading Data (HMI) document on WAAS program.

•Managing anomaly database and running weekly anomaly meetings. This task

required working with various engineers to coordinate closure plan and following up with the

responsible engineers to ensure timely closure of anomalies. A weekly report was provided to

management. Once taking over as anomaly database manager on WAAS, I significantly reduced

the number of open anomalies by working efficiently/aggressively.

2001-2004 Boeing, Seal Beach, California

System Engineer on GPS IIF program. Responsibilities included:

•Writing/Maintaining Requirement Documents in DOORS.

•Requirements Verification and Requirements Traceability.

1998-1999 Boeing, Canoga Park, California

System Engineer on the X33 program. Responsibilities included:

•Coordinating Redline/Green-line Requirements for different phases of Flight.

•Writing/Maintaining requirements documents such as ICDs, Hardware Development

Specification etc.

•Interfacing with Supplier (Allied Signal) for Technical Issues Related to Engine

Controller Data Interface Unit

1989-1998 Boeing, Long Beach, California

System/Hardware Engineer on C-17 program. Responsibilities included:

•Writing and performing System Integration Testing (SIT) for Roll and Yaw testing for Flight

Control Computer (FCC).

•Writing and performing System Development Testing (SDT) for Ground Proximity Warning

Systems Control Panel (GPWS CP).

•Equipment Engineer for FCC and GPWS CP. This responsibility required performing the

following tasks:

Interface/Coordinate technical data with Air Force (Contractor) and Lockheed Martin

(Supplier)

Review and approve supplier documentation/processes such as Acceptance Test

Procedures (ATP), Interface Control Document (ICD), Configuration Item Development

Specification (CIDS), etc.

Coordinate with Manufacturing for Aircraft Build/Checkout

Analyze Failures to eliminate Manufacturing Line Replaceable Units (LRU) Removals.

Assure Technical Compliance of LRUs and coordinate Supplier Technical Activities

Respond to Air Force Requests for Information/Data

•Writing and updating Procurement Specification and Specification Control Drawing for Flight

Control Equipment.

•Writing Failure Reports and Corrective Actions (FRACAs) and presenting to FRACA Board.

•Supporting Reviews for MD-17 Certification Plan for Replacement Inertial Reference Unit

(RIRU).

1986-1989 Boeing, Wichita, Kansas

Systems Engineer on the KC135 program: Equipment Manager for the Auto Flight System (AFS), the

Flight Management System (FMS) and the Multifunction Display (MFD): Responsibilities included:

•Interfacing with the Supplier (Honeywell) to resolve technical issues and writing several

requirement documents such as Specification Control Drawing, Interface Control Drawing, etc.

•Writing Software Requirements using Structured Analysis Method.

•Analyzing AFS modes using control laws and performing open loop and closed loop tests.
