Career Summary:
Worked for two Major Aerospace Companies (Boeing and Raytheon) at various locations as a System
Engineer and contributed to the success of several programs: C-17, GPS IIF, WAAS, GAGAN, JPALS,
MSAS, and FTE. Very particular about meeting deadlines. Good communication skills (both verbal and
written).
Education:
1988 Master of Science in Electrical Engineering with emphasis in Control Systems: Wichita State University,
Wichita, Kansas
1986 Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering: Wichita State University, Wichita, Kansas
Professional Experience:
2004-2011 Raytheon, Fullerton, California
Sr. System Engineer II on Wide Area Augmentation System (WAAS), GPS Aided GEO
Augmented Navigation (GAGAN), Joint Precision Approach and Landing System (JPALS), and
Florida Turnpike (FTE) programs. Responsibilities included:
•Writing System Level Requirement documents (B and C level) derived from customer
requirements (A level) on several programs (WAAS, GAGAN, JPALS). Writing Interface
Control Document (ICD), Interface Requirements Document (IRS), Master Integration and Test
Plan (MITP), Updating Software Requirements Specification (SRS).
•Managing Requirements in Dynamic Object Oriented Requirements System (DOORS) as a
database administrator. This included importing/exporting module, tracing requirements to its
parent requirements and to test/verification module to ensure all requirements have been
captured and verified.
•Leading a team and streamlining a process to quickly import updated requirements in DOORS.
This required daily meeting with team members and management to ensure a quick turnaround to
meet the program needs.
•Writing and implementing Requirement Change Request (RCR) in DOORS. This required
coordinating changes with affected discipline, writing proposed RCRs, getting approval by the
Change Control Board (CCB), and implementing the RCRs in DOORS.
•Writing several Program Notebook (PNB) such as Managing Requirements using DOORS,
Change Management Process in DOORS, Software Traceability Requirements, VRTM,
Verification Requirement Document, Interface Requirements Document (IRS), etc.
•Book Boss for Hazardously Misleading Data (HMI) document on WAAS program.
•Managing anomaly database and running weekly anomaly meetings. This task
required working with various engineers to coordinate closure plan and following up with the
responsible engineers to ensure timely closure of anomalies. A weekly report was provided to
management. Once taking over as anomaly database manager on WAAS, I significantly reduced
the number of open anomalies by working efficiently/aggressively.
2001-2004 Boeing, Seal Beach, California
System Engineer on GPS IIF program. Responsibilities included:
•Writing/Maintaining Requirement Documents in DOORS.
•Requirements Verification and Requirements Traceability.
1998-1999 Boeing, Canoga Park, California
System Engineer on the X33 program. Responsibilities included:
•Coordinating Redline/Green-line Requirements for different phases of Flight.
•Writing/Maintaining requirements documents such as ICDs, Hardware Development
Specification etc.

Control Computer (FCC).
•Writing and performing System Development Testing (SDT) for Ground Proximity Warning
Systems Control Panel (GPWS CP).
