Power Plant Operator - General Mills

Operated the mechanical, electrical, and fire safety systems for the power plant. Performed hands-on

maintenance on boiler systems and performed troubleshooting and repair.

Monitored, adjusted, and diagnosed systems issues using a computer linked into the buildings’

communications network via the central control room.

CITY OF MINNEAPOLIS 1989 - 2008

Stationary Engineer II

Controlled and maintained industrial systems, which included boilers, air-conditioning and refrigeration

equipment, diesel engines, turbines, generators, pumps, condensers, and compressors. Started up,

regulated, repaired, and shut down equipment. Ensured that city equipment operated safely,

economically, and within established limits by monitoring meters, gauges, and computerized controls.

Delivered on-time and accurate projects while promoting and maintaining a high focus on

safety.
