I am applying to your posting for an Executive Director. I've reviewed the duties and I believe this is an exciting opportunity. I have a reputation as a marketing maven. I made a career out of helping companies with their marketing and branding issues, creating solutions to help them reconnect with their clients, client retention, issues management, organizational culture and customer service. My strengths lay in targeted marketing, relationship building, opening new channels and establishing sustainable programs, both for local and international organizations. I have worked for multiple universities, locally and internationally as well as led a campus for a vocational school.

My areas of expertise are in running special projects and managing mufti-dimensional organizations. I have led and trained business sales teams, volunteer organizations and student groups. Recent efforts include introducing new media and traditional marketing consulting services to businesses, universities, chambers of commerce, and economic development agencies. I have managed business development, run trade shows, strategy and implementation, and served as an executive director and branch manager for multiple enterprises ranging from advertising agencies, marketing, publishing, manufacturing and customer service call centers.

I implement an aggressive consultative sales style which has led to stronger sales, better closes and long lasting relationships. I had founded an advertising and marketing consultancy agency, focusing on producing community promotional campaigns. In 1997, in an effort to expand our reach, I accepted an Expatriate assignment overseas working as a Marketing Executive and Broker for a consortium comprised of advertising agencies, direct marketing services, and FMCG’s manufacturers. As part of these efforts I trained telemarketing representatives for multiple call centers, including one I had an ownership position. While overseas, I also taught graduate level studies in marketing, brand management, direct marketing and consumer behavior at six leading universities including De La Salle University (DLSU) and the Ateneo de Manila Regis Program.

After returning to the US in 2005, I worked as a Campus Director for LA-ORT, using Brand Management to secure their accreditation in a turnaround initiative. I also continued my local Marketing Practice while serving as Adjunct Faculty at Loyola Marymount University (LMU) and Chapman University. I provided marketing services including acquiring major sponsors for Los Angeles County Technology Week, co-chairing the LMU Aerospace Symposium, and coordinating the feasibility study of the Executive Education Program at LMU. My volunteer projects for Rotary included organizing festivals and street fairs with Metro-MTA and successfully writing and acquiring a grant from the Los Angeles Office of Community Beautification.

I have been fortunate in my career choices in that my professional as well as personal interests have allowed me to work with dynamic colleagues, motivated students, and visionary leadership. I believe I would be able to utilize my organization and leadership skills in working with your team to meet your current and future goals.
