Experience: As a teacher, I have performed with excellence the responsibilities for developing
and maintaining teaching modules, executed approved curriculum, maintained school objectives,
provided quality instructions, maintained student records, and executed classroom management
for excellent learning environment. I have instructed middle school, high school and adult student
with great success. I have a master’s degree and over 24 college credit hours in mathematics to
include: algebra, geometry, calculus, and applied math.
SPECIFIC ASSIGNMENTS AND ACCOMPLISHMENTS:
As Language, Algebra and Geometry Teacher - YWCA GED Program 2011 to present
Currently, teaching language, social studies, science, and two math sections of geometry and
algebra to adults. Implement stimulating lessons to capture student’s attention and desire to
learn. I develop lesson plans that increase student learning and comprehension. I provide
teaching sessions on real world situations that help students understand how to use math in real
world situations. Incorporate computer technology in classroom to improve student learning
experience. New students request my class because of my reputation for teaching clear
instructions. Collaborate with colleagues to integrate new activities and effectively allocate
resources.
As Bible Teacher 2008 to present
Currently, teaching a variety of bible school subjects to students seeing theology degrees at Life
Christian Bible Institute. Also, teaching everyday bible lessons to women at the Tennessee Prison
for Women. Implement stimulating lessons to capture student’s attention and desire to learn. I
develop lesson plans that increase student learning and comprehension. I provide teaching
sessions on real world situations that help students understand how to apply the Word of God in
real world situations
As Math Teacher for Middle School 2009 to 2010
I instructed students in algebra and geometry. Utilized math manipulative to introduce new
concepts and enhance student skills. Executed classroom management and clear instruction to
keep class on track and focused. I provided praise and encouragement to increase student
esteem and confidence. I created fun and creative learning environment that encouraged
questions and discussion. I voluntarily provided support to students needing additional help
beyond normal class times.
As Manager, Engineer 1989 to 2009
I performed with excellence the responsibilities for developing, establishing, implementing, and
controlling contractual, financial, and technical aspects of multiple construction projects through
designated phases of the acquisition cycle. I successfully performed this assignment for 17 years.
