Currently working as a Design Engineer with Program Management
responsibilities. Main focus is automotive transportation solutions for OEM
shippers, with heavy emphasis on structural and mechanical assemblies.
Managing outside contractors as well as internal resources as part of my
daily routine. I also prepare quotes for our customers.

Director of Advanced Manufacturing: I have direct responsibility for New
Product Design and Manufacturing launch. This role includes Program
Management and Design. I also have directed internal personal and outside
service contractors. I am directly responsible for full customer support
from quote through delivery, including manufacturing problem solving,
mechanical/electrical design, tooling and start-up. My customer list
includes Medtronic's, General Dynamics, Star Headlight, Bally Gaming,
Aristocrat, Cummins, Northrop Grumman, and the FAA & Bendix Inc.

Chief Engineer: Project management, managed a staff with 9 direct reports,
Hybrid Design, Capital Equipment, specification, Qs9000 and ISO 9000
leadership and Facility start-up. I supported all areas of manufacturing
from the ground up, as required to produce Advanced Hybrid Micro electronic
circuits. Reported directly to the Vice President of Engineering. I was
part of the Operations staff responsible for all new product development.
Worked with Sales and Marketing developing a new customer base from initial
quotes through production. I also co-authored several papers discussing,
New Copper on Ceramic Interconnect Technology.
MOTOROLA, INC., A.I.E.G., Elma, NY 1991-1996
Mechanical Engineer/P.C.B. Electronics
Managed a staff of 10 engineers and technicians for the design, build and
implementation of all tooling and equipment used in P.C.B. manufacturing
area. Trained by Motorola University staff in advanced electronics
manufacturing methods and 10 x cycle time reductions.
Estimated, controlled and tracked $1 million plus annual budget for
corporate Capital Equipment/Tooling acquisition. Launched new platform
equipment and tools on time and under budget. Improved products thru DFM
reviews and product and process FEMA's. Worked with in a QS9000/9002
environment. Designed, tested and implemented production tooling. Sourced
manufacturing tools, fixtures, presses, test chambers, and custom assembly
equipment. Worked as part of design guideline team with product
engineering to reduce product cost and improve manufacturability. Also
managed two shifts of production toolmakers.
OTHER EMPLOYMENT
I have worked in various positions of increased responsibility for several
manufacturers. These positions have been both as a direct hire and as an
independent contractor. I have been trained in and have led both QS9000 and
ISO 9002 teams. Also I am familiar with MIL-883-D.
