Senior Sales Management
Resourceful, innovative professional with over 17 years Sales and Sales
Management experience within primarily the service industry. Management
responsibilities included P&L, forecasting and budget planning. I was able

Selected Responsibilities and Accomplishments
1. Managed all aspects of a company sales district including hiring and
firing, development of marketing plans, scheduling work and
activities, budgeting, training, establishing policies and procedures,
performance evaluation, and motivation of employees.
2. Boosted sales by initiating weekly telephone progress meetings with
each of my Account Managers. Discussed each account in detail and
provided on-going sales technique instruction and motivation to ensure
improved performance.
3. Pioneered (for our company) the use of a monthly newsletter to our
clients with input not only from our employees in various departments
but from various clients as well. This enlightened marketing approach
ensured repeat business and continues in use today.
4. Enhanced productivity and morale through promotion of a team-based
work atmosphere. Assigned projects of increased responsibility,
created incentive programs, and instilled a sense of ownership in the
overall sales process.
5. Increased sales by implementing the use of memory sticks for Account
Manager Laptop's that contained a training deck easily downloadable to
a client's computer. This easy exchange of pertinent information to
our clients expedited the launch of new products nationwide.
6. Spearheaded the use of Vendor guest speakers at the company's monthly
national sales meeting. The end result was a more favorable meeting
and better trained workforce in the process.
7. Initiated a "Buddy System" between Regional Managers to encourage
consistency in operations nationwide. Each Manager was assigned a
Buddy Manager to communicate best practices via Blackberry email.
Efficiency and sales increased as a direct result of this program.
8. Launched new markets and built sales teams in Atlanta, Miami, Tampa,
Jacksonville, New Orleans, Houston, Dallas, Charlotte, and other
cities. Despite the distances, upheld a true team presence with daily
communications, conference calls, and peer encouragement.
OPERATIONS
1. Managed an $8M annual sales budget at or above 100% all quarters.
Achieved 110-120% performance on expense budget. Grew the base of
company agents from 40 to a level in excess of 150.
2. Enhanced productivity both nationally and abroad through creation of a
comprehensive training program for sales personnel in electronic
controls. Developed a progressive curriculum and delivered lecture,
small group, and one-on-one instruction on the design and goal of our
products.
3. Decreased manufacturing expense through review and restructure of a
number of production processes. Removed redundancies, streamlined the
workflow, and increased efficiency decreasing costs.
4. Opened a sales territory (11 states) from the ground up. Developed a
strategic marketing plan identifying target customers, the competition
and most efficient sales techniques. Hired and trained sales staff
and grew our core business.
I traveled extensively throughout the US, Canada, Mexico and Europe
attending trade shows, visiting clients and client prospects. I also
conducted trainings in our foreign offices with the focus on new
product developments and practical applications born out of our US
facilities with a focus on my own product development and innovation.
