Re: Robert E. Griffiths Jr.-Project Superintendent
I started as a project superintendent, full time, on The Los Mares
Theater project. This was a strip mall in San Clemente, Calif. From there
we started doing tilt-up office buildings in Orange County, Ca. I worked
for General Contractors, company name, until January 2000. I went to work
for R.D. Olson in January 2000 as the lead site project superintendent.
R.D. Olson built hotels and high end restaurants. My responsibility was all
on and off site work. This includes all underground, landscape, asphalt,
site concrete, swimming pools and spas. All site walls and ornate walkways,
rails and bridges. In January, 2003 I was laid off due to a lack of work.
In the same month I went to work for Clark Contractors out of range County,
Ca. With Clark I built CVS pharmacies, and restaurants. I was with Clark
until May 2011.
I started in construction in 1972 as a carpenter. Went through the union
apprenticeship program and graduated in 3 years. I worked as a carpenter
until 1997. In college I was an architecture major.
I am 63 and still in good condition. I still exercise and enjoy skiing.
Thank you, Robert E. Griffiths Jr.
