RESPONSIBILITIES

Check job order for specifications- i.e. paper quality, quantity needed, inks/colors

Check for proper color rotation, adjust as needed for proper paper and color rotation

Mount plates, ink press, and run make-ready sheets to check for accuracy

Adjust fit and color to proof specifications or customer approval

During run-monitor fit and color visually, while using densotimeter and loop

Run computer density reading if available

After job completion, document all waste and spoilage

Document customer count for movement to next manufacturing stage

Skilled in determining and eliminating the cause of print imperfections, such as print slurs,

marking, registration problems, and worn plates or blankets

Adept at holding tight registers on quality, multi-pass jobs

Knowledgeable in running a variety of stocks, including coated and uncoated paper, board, metallics, and some plastics

Proficient at producing time-sensitive materials for medical and insurance companies

Responsive to customer imput regarding final product appearance

Practiced in using a Komori PCQ console

Accomplished in using a Heidelberg CPC console

TRAINING COURSES

Factory trained in use of Miehle-Roland remote control and computer console, oscillating form rollers and Ternes pin register system

Factory trained in maintenance and printing adjustment procedures for Heidelberg, Komori, and Miehle-Roland printing presses
