7. Established as Carnatic Paper Mills Ltd in 1921 the Company was
incorporated on 29th June 1964 as "The Andhra Pradesh Paper Mills Ltd."
at Rajahmundry.
8. Andhra Pradesh Paper Mills, which is now an International Papers
company, is one of the biggest integrated paper and pulp manufacturing
centers in India. The company produces indispensable writing, printing
and copier papers for foreign and domestic markets. It employs around
2,500 employees and is headquartered in Hyderabad.
9. APPM's production facilities are comprised of two mills in Rajahmundry
and Kadiam with a total production capacity of 240,000 TPA. The company
is becoming a driving force in sustainability in the paper manufacturing
arena through focused social and community programs, including pioneering
work in raw material generation through social farm forestry.
International Paper owns a majority interest in APPM, and the remaining
shares are publicly traded on the Bombay and National Stock Exchanges in

10. Daily monitoring of paper machine with 120-140 TPD capacity and 600 mpm
speed along with pumps, gear boxes, cutters and rewinders.
11. Troubleshoot and solve the machine problems efficiently.
12. Allocation of jobs to workmen according to priority and creating
awareness among the workers during work towards safety and take necessary
safety precautions.
13. To reduce oil leakages, steam leakages and pulp leakages.
14. To prepare daily progress report and work schedules.
15. Review engineering drawings for fabrication and spare parts.
16. Record keeping for spares and follow up effectively.
Achievements
17. Structured the Air lines and Water lines in an order and reduced the
air wastage and water wastage.
18. Compressor was put in stand-by to conserve the energy by adjusting the
air lines and water lines.
19. Vacuum pump was put in stand-by by doing the vacuum line modifications.
