Ladle Crane Operator Job Duties:
• Move levers, depress foot pedals, or turn dials to operate “J” hooks and auxiliary hooks to relocate equipment by lifting, moving, or placing loads.
• Inspect and adjust crane mechanisms or lifting accessories to prevent malfunctions or damage.
• Inspect cables or grappling devices and ropes for wear and call maintenance to install or replace cables, as needed.
• Determine load weights and check them against lifting capacities to prevent overload.
• Clean, lubricate, and maintain cables, pulleys, or hooks, making or requesting repairs as necessary.

• Pour and regulate the flow of molten metal into molds and forms to produce 100 mm slabs
• Mold set-up by cutting mold gauge for the new slab runs.
• Pull roping to prevent cracking and other defects.

• Pouring set-up and start by regulating flow via slide-gate from ladle by push button control and LED readout.
