BAE Systems, Arlington, VA (HRDC Subcontracted to SAIC in Afghanistan) 2005 - 2012

Global company engaged in the development, delivery and support of advanced defense, security and aerospace systems.

• Quality Control Inspector in Afghanistan assuring conformance of mechanical parts for the Army and Marine MRAP program.

• Duties included site Manager for BAE Systems, assuring all payroll vacations and administration duties were carried out for the employees.

• Reported work force attendance to the Government daily, and reported all movement of personnel movement to other locations.

Senior Field Representative/Quality Control 2011 – 2012

Managed 8-10 highly skilled subject matter experts responsible for the maintenance of Medium Mine Protected Vehicles) along with oversight of parts shipments for all assigned sites.

• Ensured the shipment of 163 Panthers a medium mine resistant vehicle (MRAP). These vehicles were critical in the war zone for the protection of the American War Fighter.

• Assisted in the design execution of 3 different variants of the MMPV Panther. Applied knowledge of previous MRAP Variants and helped refine the design for additional safety, durability and easy of preventative Maintenance.

• Prepared estimates for labor and material costs for the MMPV program by gathering, reviewing and analyzing statistical data to determine expenses, labor and material to support operational goals.

Site Lead/Field Service Representative 2009 – 2011

Responsible for the supervision of 8 highly skilled field service representatives conducting training, troubleshooting and assembly.

• Monitored and provided leadership to FSR’s in multiple locations in the United States to support upgrades and testing of various wheeled vehicles in Military proving grounds.

• Assured all parts and revision material were sent the various sites for testing and fielding purposes to certify material workmanship, and function. This was important to make sure all MRAP vehicles integrity was ready for the South East Asia wart zone.

• Conducted employee development programs and trained work force on design changes and function training had 60 works present.

Site Lead / welding inspector and fitter 2008 – 2009

Responsible for receiving weldment parts and mechanical parts from BAE Systems factory.

• Received mechanical parts for weldments and stocked and dispersed them to the production floor for fabrication weldments.

• Maintained inventory and assured all material was in conformance with blue print drawings to assure production build was not interrupted.

• Reported on Quality Engineering regarding parts that did not conform to Blue prints and specification.

WCI Steel Skilled tradesman 2008 - 2006

Journeyman Millwright responsible for the repair of hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical systems in a high paced environment.

Journeyman Iron worker responsible erection and dismantle of buildings and bridges.

• Daily functions included were rigging, welding and erecting structural steel buildings, bridges and various weldments used to keep up production and help prevent delays.

• Welding instructor / Inspector for WCI Steel Corporations Ironworkers. My job was to make sure all Ironworkers were trained on Welding procedures, and complied with Safety practices while on the job site.
