Advanced rapidly within the industry starting with Scripps Howard Newspaper
in Memphis in entry-level positions and advancing to operator and technical
troubleshooting roles then transferring to this division, which is
currently owned by Quad Graphics, into senior press operator positions,
press crew leader, shift-supervisor, department manager and production
manager to my current role in charge of the division which is now a
satellite plant to Quad Graphics, Dickson, TN division.

250 employee division of the international, commercial printing company
supporting the advertising-inserts market for high profile retailers. This
division is being consolidated into a newer Quebecor World division located
in middle Tennessee.
Pressroom / Pre -Press Superintendent
. Managed both digital engraving department and creative layout department
for commercial print and Sunday retail inserts
. Led a cost optimization project focusing on reducing production waste
while maximizing the value of recyclable scrap. There was an estimated
savings of $250,000 withi two quarters.
. Led a project to reduce downtime on gravure 3 meter presses. The
downtime was reduced 5 % increasing the uptime to a baseline of 80% and
in some months upwards of 93%.
