Project : Available Transfer Capability Determination In

A

Deregulated Power System.

Duration : Three months.

Team Size : 6 members.

Project Description:

Power industries are moving rapidly towards restructuring from fully

regulated conventional setup.

Power transaction between specific seller area & buyer area can be

committed only when sufficient ATC is available for that interface to

ensure the system security. In this the method based on linear factors &

repetitive loadflow is used to caluculate the ATC. Due to deregulation

power transaction becomes a very important issue.

The amount of power that can be safely transmitted between two

locations in a power system is called ATC.

Mathematically it can be defined as the difference between TTC & the

existing commitments of transmission service.
