Project Experience

• Project Name : Generation of Electrical Energy Using Speed Breakers.

Team Size : 3

Project description :

In this project, we have replaced the speed breakers with rollers. The rollers are

coupled with generators by means of belt drives. The generated power from the generator is

stored in battery which is further used for street lighting.

A combination of 6 generator of each 6v and 300ma is been connected to obtain 12v

and 900ma. The generated energy is been stored in battery through reverse protection circuit.

An Auto change over circuit is been provided for external power supply in case of any

maintance or repair and not to disturb the street lighting.

Auto street light controller circuit is been used to minimize the loss of power in day

light. In this circuit we use LDR for controlling street lighting.

Carried on during the period February 2012 – July 2012.
