Responsibilities: -

• Supervision and Commissioning of Steam and water pipelines, hydraulic pipelines, equipment pipelines (CS, SS), Water Circulation System.

• Installation and Commissioning of Rotary Equipments supplied by Evans Mac-Tawish USA- Blowers, Fans, Conveyers (belt, roller, and metal band), Vibrating conveyers, Sieves, Tobacco Threshing and classification units, Pneumatic screening Separators. Leaf Re dryers, Hydraulic presses.

• As an area in charge handling the maintenance of all type of rotary, stationary, and hydraulic equipments.

• Handling the Shift activities-Attending breakdowns, Co ordination with other departments to minimize downtime, including efficient utilization man-power.

• Preparation and execution of scheduled preventive maintenance, corrective maintenance and major repair activities.

• Maintaining History card and check lists of all equipments. Spare maintenance and control.

Maintenance Responsibilities: -

• Maintaining high standards of availability and reliability of

1) Gas pipelines – Oxygen, Nitrogen, Steam, Argon, LPG, Corex, Converter Gas, Steam pipelines. Natural gas control post and Pressure reducing stations.

2) Gas cleaning and Cooling System-Cooling stack, Wet scrubber, Induced draft fans and heat exchangers, Pumps

3) Gas Recovery and Export System – Gas Holder, Booster Fans, Water Seal check valves, Pressure control Dampers, Gas direction damper.

4) Water Pump House – Single and multi stage centrifugal pumps, Cooling towers, Air coil coolers, Fin fan heat exchangers, and water treatment plant.

5) Thickeners – Waste water storage Tanks, Slurry pumps, racking mechanism and Slurry pipelines.

• Mainly over-hauling of GCP system during converter re-lining to

Facilitate production to achieve targets for Steel Melt

• Operation and maintenance of GCP hydraulic systems supplied by Rexroth, hydac, and Integral hydraulics Germany.

• Maintenance of Vessel heaters and other gas related equipments with hydraulic systems

Project Responsibilities: -

• Planning, Coordination and Supervision for Fabrication, Erection and Commissioning of utility pipelines, hydraulic pipelines, equipment pipelines (CS, SS) and Natural gas control post and Pressure reducing stations. - As per drawing, suit to site with respect to P & I D and discussion with seniors.

• Surface treatment of CS and SS pipelines for hydraulics system and Oxygen gas blowing system through De-greasing, Pickling and Passivation.

• Installation, supervision, monitoring and commissioning of GCP system-Cooling stack, Wet Scrubber, Hydraulic system, Induced draft fan, Heat exchanger, Expansion vessel, Centrifugal pump, Air coil cooler, Gas directing damper, Water seal check valve supplied by M/S SMS Semag German,Thickener and racking mechanism.

• Erection and commissioning of ladle heater and ladle tilting stand with hydraulics system.

• Close supervision of civil and structural work related to the water circulation pump house, GCP system and piping system.

• Coordinating with contractors, Making close supervision for safe erection, alignments, commissioning of Stationary and Rotary equipments.

• Identification of balance jobs in Gas, Thermal, Water facility units.

• Preparation of specifications and raise the requisitions for the materials required to complete the balance works.

• Coordination with other Departments to complete the balance works.

• Fulltime Involvement in commissioning, operation, monitoring and maintenance of 50000m3 dry seal type CO gas holder (Gas Recovery Plant) & Export system, Gas cooling & cleaning system,175T- RH Degassers unit, Water Circulation Systam,Slag Granulation Plant.
