• Solder metal parts or components together, use acetylene welding/cutting torch, arc welding
equipment.
• Cut, bend, or thread pipe for gas, air, hydraulic, or water lines. Assemble and install pipe
sections, fittings, or plumbing fixtures using pipe fitting equipment. Braze metal parts or
components together.
• Install household appliances - fabricate, assemble, or disassemble manufactured products by
hand.
• Maintain or repair work tools or equipment.
• Clean rooms or work areas.
Heating and Air Conditioning Detailed Work Activities:
• Read schematics, specifications, work orders, instructions, formulas, or processing charts.
• Understand technical operating, service or repair manuals.
• Knowledge of ventilation systems. Install controls for HVAC equipment.
• Adjust or set mechanical controls or components. Conduct performance testing to locate
mechanical system malfunctions
• Cut, bend, or thread pipe for gas, air, hydraulic, or water lines. Fabricate ducting and sheet
metal parts.
• Install or replace meters, regulators, or related measuring or control devices. Install insulating
materials and sheet metal assemblies in supportive framework.
• Inspect machinery or equipment to determine adjustments or repairs needed.
• Repair or adjust measuring or control devices. Repair or replace circuits, equipment and
replace gas, sewer, or water piping.
• Repair or replace malfunctioning or worn mechanical components Repair refrigeration or
HVAC equipment.
• Solder electrical or electronic connections or components
• Test electrical/electronic wiring, systems and mechanical products or equipment. Use electrical
or electronic calibration test devices or equipment.
