DETAILED EXPERIENCE

2011 Structural Q.C. for the Warriors In Transition dining facility, Fort Knox KY. Contracted for the Army Corps of Engineers supervising foundation construction, testing concrete, coordinating rebar and structural members per drawing specifications.

2006-2010 Civil/Structural Designer for C&I Engineering, primary client was Marathon Oil. Designed pipe supports, platforms, explosion proof buildings, foundations for substations, transformers and boilers. Restructured a Coker Unit for Marathon Robison, Ill. Designed a loading dock for barges at Marathon Catlettsburg, KY. Also river dike containment along with oily water sewer systems. We supported oil refineries in Alabama, Ohio, Michigan and Kansas.

2004-2005 Subgrade Utility Locator for Central Locating Services. Responsible for all six subgrade utilities in the Louisville metro area by method of electromagnetic transmission and receiver. Before contractors could dig with backhoes, utilities had to be located, marked and flagged.

2002-2003 Designer for Louisville Gas and Electric. Responsible for joint trench utility design in new and existing subdivisions along with gas main extensions. Mapped gas and electric for Kentucky Utilities and L.G.&E. on SmallWorld software and microstation.

1998-2001 Civil Designer for Schimpeler America. Mapped and located utilities for the TARC light rail project. The fifteen mile FTA transit had embedded, ballasted and elevated track along with train stations and maintenance compounds. The task included traffic studies, air space violations, commercial development studies surrounding all six train stations. Supervising contractors and converting survey data into microstation were among daily duties.

1993-1997 Piping Designer, Contracted for the United States Air Force. Designed cooling systems at the Propulsion Laboratory, Area “B” Wright Patterson Air Force Base. Piped raw water, chilled water and tower water to sudden expansion burners on a supersonic ramjet hyperburner for mach XII airflow studies. Researched piping components for a NEMA II Class “B” hydrogen atmosphere test facility.

1989-1992 Mechanical Designer for Brown and Williamson Tobacco Corporation. Team designed 75 miles of conveyor under one roof for the Macon Georgia Expansion Plant. Components include mezzanine decks, diverters, dust covers, cyclones, hoppers, dust collectors, dryers and all associated

material handling equipment. Microstation was the primary design software for this project.
