range of national and international experience. Proven leadership in
administrative and manufacturing environments. An effective General
Manager with extensive experience in operational reality, budgeting,
business expansion, IT, human resource development and contract
negotiation. I have managed medium to large companies both non- unionized
and unionized operations.
ALLIED WINDOWS AND DOORS, Langley, BC 2005-2012
Solely responsible for the daily operation of the company and the P&L.
Allied manufactures high quality vinyl and aluminum windows and doors for
the Single-Family, Multi-Family and the residential Hi-Rise market
throughout western Canada via builders, developers, architects,
dealers/distributors/installers and several national big box retailers.
(Costco and Rona).
General Manager;
. I provided the leadership and motivation to create and integrate
change in processes, production, perception and attitudes. Created
'Code of Conduct' for company.
. Managed the daily operations of all departments, managers and the 150
employees in administration and production. Revenues of more than
$25M. Created and administered annual budget. Drove all activity with
the EBITDA objectives in mind.
. Managed the company through all related due diligence by new ownership
group, and then the global transition to the new shareholders style
and systems and org chart etc.
. Solely responsible for the operation and P&L in BC and the operations
and P&L of a second operation in Calgary, Alberta.
. Managed the company through a 50% sales increase in year one.
. Moved two factories and 150 workers to a new facility. Only 2 days
lost in production, no broken equipment, no injuries, and no customers
product delayed.
. Negotiated several multi-million dollar deals with Hi-Rise developers.
. Reduced lead-times from 4 to 6 weeks to 10 working days over my
tenure.
. Applied the capital expenses to new equipment when necessary,
responsible to justify ROI and NPV for various undertakings and
equipment.
. Negotiated several collective agreements with the Canadian Auto
Workers Union. Chaired the Communications Committee, and the Health
and Safety Committee.
. Establishing budgets, monitoring department spending and monthly
analysis of variances.
. Setting monthly production and margin expectations, setting staffing
levels for the factories and the administration. Monitored the entire
operation thru weekly KPI reports.
. Reduced the company's record of WorkSafe orders from 22 in 2005 to
zero by 2009, featured in a WorkSafe how to video on return to work

injury claims from 2300 hours to 200 in three years.
. Managed and maintained all external relationships with the supply
chain and governments.
. Managed all Better Business Bureau files, managed all media enquiries
and responses.
. Managing the company through a construction industry recession,
participated in federal WorkShare program three times. Managed the
downsizing through 2008 to present.
. Negotiated all vehicle fleet leases, real estate leases, and union
disciplines.
. Headed the IT team during the installation of a new robust ERP system,
Gantt charting the implementation, process mapping the company,
staffing and training solutions, parallel testing and ultimately
managing the new ERP to life.

operations combined for $30M in sales. (Gateway) American subsidiary borne
from Canadian parent company's success. Distribution in Washington,
Oregon, Idaho Alaska, Hawaii: Start-up to $6M (US) in sales by year two.
. Responsible for all Canadian operations as Chief Operating Officer
(Canada), including corporate vision, strategic leadership,
profitability, and human resource development. Tasked with initial
start-up phase for the USA operations including distribution
contracts, facilities, marketing initiatives, inventory purchasing,
