As a Technical Analyst in Control-M Support Team (Infrastructure

Application Management Control-M Support is a core IT Service Management

Team in ANZ which includes Installation, Configuration, Management &

Maintenance of BMC Control-M tool used across ANZ) following below is the

detailed work profile in ANZ:

Control-M Administration:

. Installation of Control M Servers / Agents version on Unix and Windows

environment.

. Consulting & Configuration of the Control-M Agent / Server based upon

the need of the Application Team and Project for which Control M was

being implemented.

. Prepare the Infrastructure DR Recovery / Restoration plan with

relation to Control-M for all the applications across ANZ that use

Control-M.

. Carry out the steps charted in Control-M Infrastructure DR recover /

restoration plan during the DR tests which would be conducted every 6

months for critical applications.

. Integrated Control-M with Windows LDAP where users can login with

windows credentials.

. Develop the plan for the upgrade of Control M Server / Agent and drive

the same across Windows / UNIX environment running the older version

of Control M Server / Agent.

. Tuning the Control-M DB and EM DB.

. Responsible for ensuring that all technical, standards and support

documentation is updated so that adequate service levels can be

maintained.

Control-M Scheduling:

. Schedule Jobs in Control-M on Unix and Windows environment for the

application teams that do not have Control M knowledge and helping

scheduling teams on complex designs.

. Also, Schedule the Connect Direct Scripts to run from Control-M, to

transfer the files from source to destination using Control-M.

Project Description

Scheduling jobs which are running on the UNIX, Windows and SAP

in Control-M Desktop. Agent installation, Client installation, Agent

trouble shooting and scheduling the critical batch (distributed/mainframe

system), & analyze the problem and solve them in the production

environment. Creating the calendars (Regular/Periodic), solving control-m

agent problems (unavailable/create/disable).

Responsible for

. Providing 24x7 support to any type of scheduling request like create a

new job and new scheduling groups & Bouncing the Control-M agents,

changes in the schedules

. Control-M admin part (Agent installation, Client installation, Agent

trouble shooting etc).

. Scheduling SAP jobs using SAP CM & FTP jobs by filewatcher utility.

. Schedule batch Jobs and test in test Environment and QA-environment

and migrate into Production.

. Troubleshooting EM/Server connectivity issues

. Bouncing/Restarting the Control-M agents whenever it requires ( Agent

not-available)

. Giving solution to the control-m agent problems like not starting of

the control-m process ctmag, startup/stop control-m agent

. Login to the Control-M server and solving the hung jobs/checking the

control-m agent problems

. Mass update / Mass create the jobs according to the business needs
