Responsible for ini tiating the medical charts routing the charts to the
appropriate personnel.
Responsible for pulling charts for patients who are scheduled and make sure
t hat date of service is stamped on the progress note. Insert any lab results or
results needed for review by the provider as per policies and procedures
established by N HSI and in with licensing and regulatory requirements or as
i nstructed by the clinical staff. Check patient identifying information on all
documents. I n coordination with established policies makes sure that payor
i nformation has been verified for each scheduled patient and that all patients
a re called the day before to confirm appointments.
Perform other duties as required, must relief receptionist as needed and
perform related duties such as:
(a) T ransfer old charts to new charts.
(b) P lace out guide when charts are pulled out.
(c) P repare new charts and have them handy for use.
(d) M ake copies of various forms when required.
(e) M ail out request for records when presented with a properly completed
medical release form. Make copies of records in response to in-coming
medical releases.
(f) O rder forms and other necessary supplies when needed.
